Achronix’s Vice President of Architecture Kent Orthner to Present FPGA Compute Acceleration Techniques at Linley Fall Processor Conference

Press Releases Date

Santa Clara, Calif., October 1, 2021Achronix Semiconductor Corporation, a leader in high-performance FPGAs and embedded FPGA (eFPGA) IP architected for high-bandwidth workloads in a broad range of applications including AI/ML, 5G infrastructure, networking, computational storage and test and measurement, announces its participation at the Linley Fall Processor Conference. Achronix will host a live presentation and in-person booth at the event as well as participate virtually.

What

For more than a decade, The Linley Group has delivered the industry’s premier processor conferences. Presentations will cover processors and IP cores for AI applications, embedded, data center, automotive, and server designs. Attendees will be able to hear presentations and interact with the speakers during Q&A, lunch, and the networking reception.

Presentation

Wednesday, October 20 – Track A, 10:10am to 11:45am

Kent Orthner, Vice President, Architecture, will present “How to Overcome the Pain Points of AI/ML Hardware.”

AI/ML hardware faces three common pain points: memory bandwidth, computational throughput and on-chip data movement. In this presentation, we reveal key capabilities of the Achronix Speedster®7t FPGA family that offers a 2D NoC, GDDR6 memory interfaces, and machine learning processors (MLPs) to alleviate these pain points. Offering a balance of speed, power and cost, FPGAs and eFPGA IP are ideal platforms for AI/ML inferencing solutions that provide the flexibility of a GPU while performing at speeds similar to that of an ASIC.

In-person Booth

Achronix will host a booth in person on October 20th. Visitors are invited to stop by to learn about our high-performance, high-density standalone Speedster7t FPGAs, licensed Speedcore™ eFPGA IP and ready-to-use VectorPath® accelerator cards built for AI, machine learning, automotive, networking and data center applications.

When/Where

The Linley Fall Processor Conference is a hybrid event. The in-person event will take place October 20-21, 2021 at the Hyatt in Santa Clara, California. The virtual event takes place on October 27-29 and November 3-5 with live Q&A and breakout sessions. Virtual dates are mornings (Pacific standard time) on October 27-29 and November 3-5.
