Partner Overview

Bluespec was founded by a team of experts from the embedded systems and hardware industry with the mission to develop tools and IP that removed barriers for developers. Our team has a long history of innovations enabling the hardware world to design and program at the speed of software.

With the emergence of RISC-V, Bluespec has bolstered their commitment to this mission by introducing industry-leading technology that allows for easy core evaluation, software development, acceleration, and verification. Bluespec is also known for its open-source IP family of cores.

Bluespec’s leadership is active in the community, as a member of the Open-HW organization, serving on the RISC-V Foundation Board of Directors and chairing the Formal Model Technical Committee.

Bluespec offers commercially verified RISC-V processor IP to the FPGA and ASIC communities and will soon be announcing a RISC-V based accelerator solution targeted at simplifying HW acceleration.

Products

Bluespec currently offers three classes of RISC-V processor families:

  • Bluespec RISCV BMR Family – Bluespec RISC-V Baremetal/RTOS class processors. This family of processors is targeted at applications that require low resource utilization, fast performance, and the ability to run a Real Time operating system. Bluespec offers a variety of instruction set extensions and cache sizes to meet customers specific application demands.
  • Bluespec RISCV SCL Family – Bluespec RISC-V Single-Core Linux class processors. The SCL family offers an excellent ratio of performance to resource consumption with the ability to run Linux. As with the other Bluespec RISCV families, the SCL family offers a variety of instruction set extensions and cache sizes to meet customers’ demands.
  • Bluespec RISCV MCL Family – Bluespec RISCV Multi-Core Linux class processors. The MCL family offers an excellent ratio of performance to resource consumption with the ability to run Linux across multiple RISC-V cores. As with the other Bluespec RISC-V families, the MCL family offers a variety of instruction set extensions and cache sizes to meet customers’ demands.
