March 16-19, 2020 : San Diego, CA

Achronix will be both exhibiting and presenting at GOMACTech — a conference established primarily to review developments in microcircuit applications for government systems. Established in 1968, the conference has focused on advances in systems beinhttps://www.gomactech.net/g developed by the Department of Defense and other government agencies and has been used to announce major government microelectronics initiatives such as VHSIC and MIMIC, and provides a forum for government reviews.

The conference will be held March 16-19, 2020 at the Town and Country Resort, San Diego, CA.

Come visit Achronix at booth #709.

Poster Session

Be sure to attend our poster session on Thursday, March 19 2020, 10:30-11:50 in the San Diego Room. Raymond Nijssen. Vice President and Chief Technologist will be presenting the following:

Trusted, Assured and Cyber-Secure Microelectronics

Augmenting an ASIC with an embedded FPGA (eFPGA) core can aid hardware assurance efforts by reducing the number of supply-chain and life-cycle risks associated with ASICs. Custom ASIC chips potentially expose critical IP to anyone in the supply chain, or even in the future to anyone who has possession of the chip. FPGAs are reconfigurable logic that are dynamically configured to implement any datapath. ASIC that instantiate critical design elements in on-chip eFPGA are more secure and fundamentally harder to reverse engineer because critical design IP literally does not exist on the chip until the chip authenticates, decrypts, and loads the configuration. eFPGA store configurations in SRAM so when the chip’s power is disconnected, the critical IP ceases to exist. The regular structure of FPGA IP makes Malicious Insertion harder. ASIC designs that incorporate eFPGA can also be upgraded anytime in the future for many purposes including security.
