The Speedster Plug-In Card (SPC60) for the Achronix SPD60 FPGA offers designers a practical platform for evaluating Speedster performance and IP. With the SPC60 board, the full performance of the SPD60 FPGA can be evaluated using the demonstration and reference designs provided with the kit. The new board also demonstrates an impressive1066 Mbps DDR3 reference design available for "out of the box" integration with customer designs. Achronix and Industry standard development tools are also provided. The SPC60 can operate stand-alone or plugged into a host system using the PCI Express interface. Moreover, all high-performance Speedster features are available - fabric logic, RAMs, multipliers, SerDes, programmable I/Os and Achronix-patented picoPIPE™ acceleration technology. In addition to the substantial embedded RAM available on the SPD60 FPGA (more than 3.3 Mb in total) two external memories are provided on the board: a DDR3 module (128M × 64), and flash (8M × 16). This richness of memory resources serves not only as ample local storage for user applications, but also to demonstrate the variety of interfaces that Speedster devices support.
