The Achronix analog-digital-analog (ADA) adapter card allows customers to evaluate the impressive signal processing capabilities of Speedster® FPGAs, including Finite Impulse Response (FIR) filtering, spectral analysis using Fast Fourier Transforms (FFTs), correlation, convolution.
The ADA adapter card plugs into any of the Hi-Speed Extension headers located on the SDK60 board, allowing analog signals to be brought directly into and out of the development system using standard coax cables. The adapter card is essentially an analog port expander, digitizing analog input for the FPGA, and synthesizing the analog output from the FPGA’s parallel output stream.
Resident on the card are high-performance analog-to-digital and digital-to-analog converters (ADC and DAC). Configuration of these devices is performed via the high-speed connector under the control of the FPGA.
With the ADA adapter card, customers can quickly and easily build prototype systems supporting both evaluation of Speedster FPGA performance as well as algorithm development.
